Concrete Light

marieke rongen has designed a light that isn't light. the dutch designer has actually created a concrete lamp that
weighs around 40 kilos. the concrete is actually partially transparent, allowing small holes in the material to allow
light to escape. she has designed the shade based on the traditional form but adapted it for the size and the
material, creating a new form entirely. she has designed many other lamps using a variety of strange materials
such as ceramic, thread, copper and hair.
